Dr. John AshcraftDoctor Of Chiropractic
Dr. John Ashcraft first discovered chiropractic following a wrestling injury at age 12. His parents took him to the local Chiropractor in the upstate NY town where he was raised. On the way home from his miraculous first visit, his father asked him how he felt and his reply was 'I'm going to be a Chiropractor!' After a series of treatments, not only did he feel better from his injury, but he no longer experienced asthma or allergies. He chased his passion and loves his profession more now than he did when he started practicing in 2001.
Dr. A earned an exceptional upstate NY education, receiving his degree from the State University of New York at Oswego, with a major in Biology and minor in Health Sciences. He then graduated Magna Cum Laude near the top of his class at New York Chiropractic College, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree as a member of the Phi Chi Omega honor society.
Following his first two years after graduation gaining valuable experience in a family and wellness clinic, Dr. A joined a Sports Medicine team. For seven years he gained priceless knowledge as the Chiropractic Physician in a multidisciplinary practice consisting of a Chiropractor, an Orthopedic Surgeon, a Physician's Assistant, and a Physical Therapist. Im 2010, Dr A branched out and founded Chirolife Wellness Center. As a proud husband and father, he was excited to bring the wisdom and training back to the family and wellness setting to aid in the health and wellness of all people of all ages from the infants to the elderly.
In his career, Dr. A has treated thousands of patients with a wide range of conditions. He loves neurological conditioning and extremity protocols, as well as nutritional and exercise rehabilitation. Moreover, he aids his wellness patients in maintaining optimal health through gaining natural immunity and sports enhancement.
When not helping the community to achieve greater health and wellness, you may find Dr. Ashcraft working with the microbrewery he co-founded, exercising, reading, boating on Lake Norman, or his favorite thing in the world; spending quality time with his wonderful wife Tara and their four children
Dr. Connor DonoghueDoctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Connor Donoghue, A native of Mooresville, North Carolina, has always had a passion for understanding how the body functions and how to maximize health. Dr. Donoghue first encountered chiropractic after an injury playing football at Lake Norman High School. He was amazed at how quickly he was able to recover. He also noticed his performance both on and off the field dramatically improved to a level even higher than before his injury. Connor continued his education at Elon University where he earned a B.S in Exercise Science with a Minor in Psychology.
It was during his time completing an internship at Elon, shadowing a variety of health professionals, that he discovered his calling to serve families through Chiropractic care. He then graduated Magna Cum Laude near the top of his class from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic. It was there he fell in love with Chiropractic and realized it was what he was born to do. In early 2019, Donoghue joined one of the largest family wellness practices in the Lake Norman Area, Chirolife Wellness Center. Dr. Donoghues goal is to impact as many lives as possible through a Wellness model of healthcare. He believes the body has an extraordinary ability to heal itself. His care is aimed at maximizing our own innate healing capacity through a wellness chiropractic model in order to correct the root cause of people's health conditions and empower them to reach their full potential in health and wellness. Dr. D prides himself on the results his patients' experience as well as the lasting relationships he develops with them. He truly cares for his patients as if they are his own family.
When he is not serving his community through Chiropractic care you can find Dr. Donoghue playing basketball, biking, boating on Lake Norman, attending church at Williamson United Methodist Church, or his favorite thing, spending time with his wife Nicole, family, and friends
Tyler - Chiropractic Assistant
Tyler grew up in Brick, New Jersey, and moved to Charlotte in 2019. He attended UNC Charlotte where he earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in Public Health. While attending UNC Charlotte he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity where he was the Director of education and Wellness. He is currently working on obtaining his Master of Business Administration from Purdue University Global.
Diane - Chief Operating Officer
Diane joined ChiroLife in 2018 and” loves being a part of the amazing ChiroLife team.” She began her medical career in Pennsylvania as a Nursing Assistant at the age of 14, and was certified by the age of 16. She became an LPN in 1993. She earned a BSN from Misericordia University in 2008, graduating Magna Cum Laude and with perfect attendance. In 2017, Diane graduated with an MSN and highest distinction from Chamberlain College of Nursing and in 2020 earned her Doctorate of Nursing.
Diane resides with her husband John (married in 1999), son Nico (a student at The University of South Carolina) and Yorkie “Max.” Diane has a great passion for cooking and baking and shares her mouth-watering creations on social media.
Kathy - Marketing
Kathy manages internal and external Marketing, PR and event planning for the practice. She schedules talks and scans with local businesses, schools and health clubs to educate the community on the importance of wellness. She creates special in-house patient appreciation events - a Night of Indulgence, the March Wellness Challenge, Walks with the Doctor and the 12 Days of Christmas.
Kathy graduated with a Business Degree from Lebanon Valley College and served in a variety of Marketing and Sales positions in the corporate world. As a part-time travel agent, Kathy escorts groups to Europe, on cruises, and plans holiday excursions to New York City. In her spare time, you will find her playing tennis and pickleball.
Sarah - Front Desk
Sarah works at the front desk of Chirolife taking care of all your scheduling needs, She is passionate about giving back to the community and youth so in the summer she is a volunteer camp counselor in Black Mountain, NC for at-risk middle school children.
When she is not at work you can find her at home reading, making candles, or trying a new recipe. Sarah also loves the outdoors so on the weekends you will see her hiking, paddleboarding, or kayaking. Give her a call to schedule an appointment!
Rebecca Billing and Insurance Specialist
A native of Catawba, NC Rebecca joined ChiroLife in 2018 as our Director of First Impressions When Rebecca noticed the job posting and job description; she knew this was the place she wanted to be! Now you will find Rebecca in her role as Billing and Insurance Specialist.
Chiropractic adjustments have been the norm for her since she was a teenager but she didn’t fully understand the connection between our skeletal system and nervous system. Not only have regular chiropractic adjustments helped with her neck pain and low back pain, but she can also see that her mental well-being has improved. For Rebecca, Chiropractic care is a way of life, just as healthy eating habits and exercise are! Outside of Chirolife, Rebecca enjoys learning more about God, spending time with her husband and daughter, exercising, bike rides, and lots of vacations!
Chris - Front Desk
Chris works at the front desk of Chirolife where she handles scheduling. She relocated to North Carolina from Los Angeles with her husband, Scott ,and 2 kids, Lauren and Austin, in July 2020. She worked for a chiropractor in the San Fernando Valley who specialized in wellness.
In 2011, her daughter Lauren , who was 11 at the time, was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous brain tumor. Although she went on to beat the disease, the damage from treatments left her with lifelong medical challenges. Chris and her family attribute much of her ongoing wellness to the help she’s received from chiropractors. Part of her passion at Chirolife comes from helping other patients achieve and maintain wellness.
Jamie - Chiropractic Assistant
Jamie is a Chiropractic Assistant at ChiroLife. She previously was a Habilitation Technician at Bayada, working with special needs individuals. Originally from Florida with roots in New Jersey and Ohio, Jamie has her own Non-Profit organization. She currently resides in Mooresville with her two sons aged 12 and 11, and her two furry babies. In her spare time, you will find Jamie outdoors, hiking or playing sports with her family or indoors, on rainy days, playing video games. Jamie also has experience with ASL (sign language).
